Enga is the most populous Trans-New Guinea language, spoken by more than 200,000 people in Enga Province in the highlands of Papua New Guinea. It is written in the Latin script and, like most Trans-New Guinea languages, was never traditionally written before missionary and colonial-era orthography work.
