Evenki, also called Tungus, is the largest member of the northern group of Tungusic languages, traditionally spoken across a wide area of Siberia in the Asian part of Russia as well as in Inner Mongolia and Heilongjiang in China. It is written mainly in the Cyrillic script, with Latin and, experimentally, Mongolian script also in use.
