Course in General Linguistics is the founding text of structural linguistics, compiled and published in 1916 by Ferdinand de Saussure's students Charles Bally and Albert Sechehaye from lecture notes taken during his Geneva courses of 1906 to 1911, three years after Saussure's own death.
